EUSci was founded in Edinburgh back in 2008. Our first enterprise, the EUSci magazine, was largely based on a similar magazine published at Cambridge University. Now that we’ve been around for a couple of years – and have added a podcast and seminar series to our repertoire – we think it’s time for a rebranding to better reflect our unique approach to science communication in Edinburgh. To start this process, we are running a competition for a new logo and we want your help.

The current EUSci logo, which features prominently on the cover of our magazine and on our website, is a deviation from the one used by our sister society at Cambridge University. We want the new EUSci logo to differentiate us and be synonymous with our passion for science, our enthusiasm about public engagement and our ties to Edinburgh. It’s also important to note the new logo will be used in all our communication endeavours, which in addition to the magazine includes a podcast, seminar series, website and social networking sites.

Send your designs to euscimag@gmail.com as a JPEG, TIFF or PDF file by 5th November. The winning logo will become the new face of EUSci and the designer will likely receive fame and glory beyond measure.
